KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) A D Khawaja has ordered to adopt strict security measures on the occasion of Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.
The IGP has instructed the officials to strengthen security on all the highways, border areas, and entry exit points of the province, said a statement issued here on Wednesday. He has ordered for strict surveillance and patrolling on police station level throughout the province.
A D Khawaja further directed the officers concerned to ensure strict security in and around the Shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and to coordinate with organisers. He ordered to ensure clearance from Bomb Disposal Squad.
The police chief has directed the concerned SSPs to monitor the security measures of shrine by themselves and to ensure provision of all needed facilities to the deployed police officers and personnel.
