QUETTA: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Thursday said that the army is presently carrying out intelligence-based operations against terrorists and extremists.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief in his address at the Command and Staff College here said that more work needs to be done in order to achieve the final goal against terrorism.
He said extremism and terrorism were international problems, adding that Pakistan was determined to win the war against militancy and terrorism. “Together we will defeat any nefarious designs of hurting Pakistan and root out hostile elements out of our country,” he said.
General Sharif said no army in the world was able to face challenges as tactfully as Pakistan, adding that he was proud to have command of an active army like his country’s.
