ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has finalised the arrangements to conduct intra-party elections for the slot of president, general secretary and other positions on October 18. The PML-N sources said on Saturday that a meeting of the provincial general councils would also be convened soon to elect provincial office bearers of the party. They said that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz were strong candidates for the slot of Punjab president. Amir Muqam and Pir Sabir Shah were being considered favourites for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president’s slot and Sardar Sanaullah Zehri for Balochistan, while Ismail Rahoo and Nehal Hashmi were strong candidates for Sindh president, the sources added.
